I realy love this leave-patern for socks! Just right now I 'm going upstairs for a Stashdive and CO these socks tomorrow after work (cannot wait....!).
Hey, I've never worked a chart before, but this one looked easy, and the socks were BEAUTIFUL, so I thought I'd give it a try. So here are my Obviously-A-Chart-Rookie-Questions: First: I've been reading the chart, starting with the bottom right hand corner and going left. Is that right? Second: Assuming I'm correct in question one, I'm stuck on the second row of the chart. The first direction is a forward slash (\) which according to the "legend" is an ssk. Doesn't this mean to "Slip, Slip, K2Tog"? Because when I do, I end not having enought stitches in the pattern repeat. It takes 18 stitches instead of the 16. What am I doing wrong??? Other than my chart-reading incompetence I LOVE these socks. Thank you so much for posting this pattern! ~Purl~
I learned to knit a few years ago and have been obsessed ever since. Handpainted yarns are my weakness, the more I think about it, the more I've come to realize that while I love knitting, it is truly the yarn that has me hooked. Not only are the colors and combinations of colors are intoxicating but the softness and squishability of yarn just does me in. I love yarn!
